Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka, who was born in Minsk (the capital city of Belarus) She is an eldest daughter of Sergey. Sergey was a professional hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk, Belarus on May 5 1998. Aryna's Sabalenka holds 12 WTA Singles titles. One of which was crowned 'Grand Slam' at the Australian Open 2023. In doubles, she is an excellent player. She's won two majors along with Elise Mertens including the US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. Together with her fellow Belgian tennis pro, she also won in the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells as well as Miami in the year 2019, making the Sunshine Double. Four couples only managed to win this title in women's doubles. Her ranking went from second to third in world singles rankings on 23 August 2021. The highest ranking she achieved came in January 2023. In doubles however she pushed her way to the top during February of that same year following her victory in Melbourne becoming thus the second tennis player from Belarus to be a part of the sport of doubles. Her coach was former Russian tennis pro Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the close of the 2019 season and partly in the first quarter of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann became her trainer from August until September 2020. Her training has been provided by her countryman Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020. Serena Williams is her role model, then Maria Sharapova.
